High Point Regional Employees Donate $200,000 to 2016 Give Strong Employee Giving Campaign

10/10/2016

High Point, NC -   This summer, 927 employees and medical staff from High Point Regional combined efforts to raise $200,000 for the 2016 GiveStrong! Fundraising Campaign – setting a new record for the campaign.

“We are incredibly proud of our employees and medical staff. This truly demonstrates their commitment to our hospital and to this community,” said Denise Potter, Vice President, Foundation/Public Relations & Marketing.   “These contributions will positively impact the future of health care and help continue our legacy of providing expert care for patients of all ages right here in High Point.”

The GiveStrong! Employee Giving Campaign has raised close to $1 million since its inception in 2010.

Employees had the option of designating their contributions benefit several different hospital beneficiaries: Area of Greatest Need, Patient Special Needs and Project CARE.

  • Area of Greatest Need Fund: This supports the major renovation and modernization project that will advance clinical technology and facility improvements for the cardiology, oncology and surgical patient care programs at High Point Regional.
  • Patient Special Needs: This fund supports patients who are identified by social work to be in a crisis situation and have an immediate need for support.
  • Project CARE:  This fund assists employees who experience a catastrophic emergency.

“The GiveStrong! Employee Giving Campaign is one of the many ways High Point Regional co-workers and physicians show their commitment to the community and give back,” said Ernie Bovio, President and CEO of High Point Regional. “I am extremely thankful for and impressed by the dedicated, hardworking members of our High Point Regional family who donated a record amount to the GiveStrong! Campaign.”
